Candidates for membership shall be required to:

          1.Complete an application of     

        intent to join


          2.Pass an interview 


          3.Pass a physical agility


          4.Be voted in by a majority of     

        membership 


          5.Complete 20 hour training

        course prior to receiving a

        pager


          6.Complete 6 months probation


          7.Produce copies of high

        school diploma, GED, or

        college transcript


Membership Requirements:

          1.Must be at least 18 years of age


          2.Must reside within GSVFD fire          

        district


          3.Must not have been convicted of a

        felony or crime of moral  

        turpitude


          4.Must have a valid Texas class driver’s

        license


          5.Must submit to and pass a background          

        check (criminal, driving, etc.)


          6.Must have high school diploma, GED,          

        or college credit
